Personal History:

Isaac grew up on his own with no brother or sister, he was quiet as a child and just drifted through life with little excitement. He did well at school and did especially well with his homework because he had little distractions, he did of course have friends but he preferred to get his homework and schoolwork done before going out to play. Eventually he was getting bored with the schoolwork, he was finding it all so easy, that was until one day whilst sitting and doing nothing as he had completed his work he spied a book sitting on the teachers shelf, he asked if he could read it and she said ‘It may be a bit hard for you Isaac' but Isaac insisted and she said ok. And boy she wasn't kidding, half of the words he had never heard of, but still he sat there and read it. Once he had finished he decided he wanted to know what it all meant so he began to research the book “A Brief History Of Time”, he found salvation in the universe, his imagination grew and with it so did his drawing skill, he would sit for hours as a child and draw, colour and paint landscapes and people not the best but certainly better than most seven year olds, but at night he would look towards the stars, imagining a life among them, it wasn't long before he got his chance, at the age of eight his mother and father got there commercial shipping license and started up the firm with a single old freighter which looked like it had been through the mill but was still flyable. It was flying with his parents onboard this freighter were his curiosity peaked, because of his limited understanding of quantum mechanics and physics itself, he wanted to know how everything worked, so his father and mother helped all they could, they provided him with hands on work as well as huge amounts of reading material.

Since he still had to attend school he was left with his aunty on many occasions whilst the shipping company was taking off, she was a nice lady and his Cousin Michaela became great company, she was a little older than him but was also interested in space, the planets and beyond. They became great friends over the years until Isaac had to move back with his parents a few years later, the business had grown so much they owned four freighters and other people were being hired to pilot them. This put a great strain on his and his cousins friendship, they went weeks without seeing each other and it was becoming boring for Isaac, he had gotten used to someone being around to talk to about the stuff he likes, but eventually he got used to it as one does. It was as he started High school that he got a name for himself as the classroom clown, because he was bored with the work and found it easy to do. He became great at doing impressions of other people and became very witty and sarcastic, but as everyone laughed he felt it was a good thing. Later in life it was, in his mind time to make a choice, to follow either engineering or science, both had there benefits in his eyes, and both carried the opportunity for future learning and advancement, after much consideration he chose science because he had an affinity for it and found engineering work to pressurised. So although he kept up with work in engineering because it was a good skill to have and also because he would study it as a minor at university, he also made extra work in science, physical sciences and quantum mechanics in particular.

It was at graduation he made the choice to join Starfleet, he was originally going to go to university then work as a freelance scientist just following the projects. But one of his friends whose parents were both Starfleet officers was going to the academy, Isaac simply said good luck but he had been invited round for dinner so later that evening after graduation he met his friends parents, and through the evening Isaac became perplexed at Starfleet life, and since his friends mum was a science officer he heard about the labs and the generally lax attitude to work on personal projects, which she herself had been doing for several years. Isaac decided that, although he could probably afford any Starfleet science equipment because of his parents company, he just wouldn't get the same challenge, the unexpected or unknowns he would working a Star ship Science lab. He sat most of the night listening to his friend's mother's stories and his fathers and it was there and then he decided Starfleet was the right path.

He told his parents of his wishes and at first they objected because of all the wars that had been fought recently and thought it was to dangerous, but Isaac turned around and said it was his decision and they either accepted it or they keep there opinions to themselves because he was going to do it no matter what. He did leave for the academy once selected, and proceeded to crack down with all of the work he was given, even once it was finished he redone it better if he could. He did still clown around but not in the academy itself, only if he was relaxing in the lounge or outside the academy grounds, but it wasn't major stuff just fun and games. It was into his second year at the academy when fate it would seem had a vendetta against him, as he was walking back to the academy after a night on the town a shuttle high above was having difficulties, it had lost one of its engines and was falling rapidly towards Isaacs position, he managed to notice it in time and jump out of the way but apparently he wasn't quick enough, the shuttle caught his leg and ripped it off. Rushed to the nearest medical centre it was found his leg could not be salvaged and had been completely mutilated by the shuttle accident. He opted to have an artificial leg in place of the old one, his rehabilitation took a long time as he got used to his new leg and his academy assignments suffered a little but it was understandable. It took him most of the rest of the academy year to get back up to date with his work and even took home the extra credit assignments over the summer to complete. Eventually he was becoming frustrated with his new leg, he had a small limp which the doctors said would disappear in time as he got used to it, but it never did, he went to see doctors and they had no explanation, he took the drastic action of having it replaced with another thinking it may be a problem with the leg itself but after the operation and rehabilitation the new one was doing the same thing. He decided he would just have to live with it.

In his third year of the academy he made the most of everything that was available to him in terms of physics, quantum mechanics and engineering labs, he even was helping the younger kids with there first and second year work because it helped keep it fresh in his mind. By the end of his third year he had produced a total of five projects on quantum mechanics and several on physics, and had also successfully completed a miniature version of a star ships power transfer and computer system, it was a the dance that his charm got him a girlfriend, her name was Roxsana and she was also studying most of the subjects as him, she was very beautiful and because they shared the same interests they got on very well, over the summer break they had a fantastic time but towards the end everything started to cloud over Roxsana would be leaving Starfleet after her exams because she had been offered a position at a commercial science company on Andoria, they both agreed to keep things on hold until they met again… if they met again. Then came his final year, he worked harder than he ever had, he knew that his final exams, especially his science would not necessarily be on quantum mechanics or astrophysics so he crammed as much knowledge as he could, including the information he was taught in class over the three years into his brain, by the time his exams came around he must have had in excess of a hundred PADDs of data strewn across his Academy dorm room on nearly every scientific scrap of information he could find, even the theoretical stuff. After Graduating from the academy he was promoted to the rank of Midshipman aboard the USS Gettysburg

Personality

Hobbies & Past-Times: Quantum physics, astrophysics, astronomy and is also interested in archaic weaponry restoration and construction.
Short-Term Goals: To be comfortable in his career and make friends
Long-Term Goals: To retire and have a family
Temperament: He has a long fuse and it takes a lot to get him angry, but when he does get angry he isn't a pleasant guy and is best avoided. He is patient and will help those that need it.

Dislikes: Arrogance, Know it alls, small talk to a certain degree, formal events (He finds them constricting and deadening)
Illnesses: Lost his leg in a shuttle accident, but was replaced with a mechanical version, because of this he walks with a small limp. Also he suffered from the normal child hood illnesses.

Questions

Most Painful Experience: Losing his leg was his most traumatising experience, physically and emotionally
