Personal
History: |
Kedren was
born in the city of Janara on Betazed and spent a lot of his time growing up
in and around the Janaran Falls. His parents were both doctors in the
community where he lived, and it was clear he had inherited his parents'
enthusiasm for medicene. He was often the focus of attention for his parents
because of his desire to follow in their footsteps, and this left Kedren's
older brother Detri a little outcast. This favouritism eventually led to his
brother running away from home when he was 17, and Kedren has not since seen
him - 7 years have past since he made any contact. Both his parents have
tried numerous times to reunite their two sons to work out the differences
but Detri has since vanished without a trace.
Abandoned by his brother, Kedren became an introvert, rarely sharing how he
felt and strengthening his telepathic skills purely to be able to control
his thoughts in a way that would prevent him being casually scanned by other
people in a telepathic community. He developed a very non-chalant persona
that clouded into his normal personality so much that Kedren now finds it
difficult to escape. His parents became worried about what was happening to
him and suggested the academy after seeing how much the effort of guarding
his mind was damaging him. Kedren was reluctant at first, the thought of
being surrounded by such mentally deficient people was daunting - a thought
which later became comforting as he would have less pressure to guard his
thoughts so closely.
Kedren naturally chose a medical course at the academy to follow his
strengths, but while he was there he discovered a love for the theatre,
introduced to him by his roommate Kieran. Acting allowed the Betazoid to
leave his introverted and offhand manner behind and embrace the
characteristics of people that he admired - through his friend's influence,
becoming particularly fond of Shakespeare. He began to lead the theatrical
society with Kieran and became well known for his appearances on stage.

brother was one of the hardest moments in his life, as the letter told him
how it was Kedren who drove him away. That letter haunts him every day.

Standing on
a stage performing to his audience. In character, Kedren can forget who he
is and become a new person who is happy and carefree. |

Most Crucial Experience: |
Meeting
Kieran changed the way he viewed the world. With the world of theatre at his
command he became more empowered to escape the introversion that had
dominated several years of his life, and for that he will always have a debt
of gratitude for his friend. |

Medically,
Kedren will always turn to his parents for advice and guidance in his
professional career. However, Shakespeare has become the new guidance force
in his personal life after being introduced by Kieran. |
