| Personal History: |
Tyra was born on Luna Colony. Her parents were stationed there at the time. She had a fairly happy childhood even though her parents were rarely home. She lived on Luna until she was 5 when her mother was stationed to a deep space ship. She was sent to live with her godfather, a civilian engineer, along with her three siblings. She lived in Georgia until she was 10 when her father was promoted to Admiral and he decided to move his family to Tulsa, Oklahoma. About a year later her mother’s ship disappeared for 4 months. This caused a great bit of fear in the two youngest children and made the two oldest daughters feel they had to be larger then life. This also made the already close siblings even closer. During that time, she played every sport available including boxing to keep herself calm. Even after her mother’s ship was found she continued to play sports and added a few more including all types of hand-to-hand combat. The worst event to ever happen to Tyra occurred when she 14 and on a trip back to Luna to visit. Her little sister, Carly and she were walking to a transporter station after catching a late movie when a group of thugs approached them. The two girls were attacked viciously and with no mercy. Luckily two off-duty Starfleet officers were walking nearby and heard the yelling and came to take a look. The two girls were taken to the Starfleet medical center there where Tyra was unconscious for almost a week. When she woke up the news was broken to her that Carly had been killed. She went into a deep depression for 3months claiming that it was her fault that she had died and that she should have died instead. She came out of the depression after frequent visits from the two Starfleet officers, her family, and her teammates, who told her if she didn’t get her butt back into shape they’d whoop her. Tyra doesn’t like talking about the event or how it affects her but it was noticed that she seemed to work harder in everything she did especially sports. She had never had any interest in Starfleet although both her parents and her older sister, Aurora were Starfleet officers. She resented Starfleet for taking her parents away from her. After the incident on Luna, she began to show interest in becoming a Starfleet Engineer because of the officers that had saved her. For a brief period of time she even considered being a Marine sniper but since her father would probably have a coronary when she told him she decided not to. She joined the Academy at the age of 16 planning to major in Engineering. She suddenly changed her major to Security after having talked to some of the Security cadets and also the instructors. This shocked both of her parents but they supported her no matter what. |

Questions |
| Most Painful Experience: | The disappearance of her mother’s ship when she was younger was traumatizing but the most painful experience of Tyra’s life had to be the death of sister, Carly. This caused her to rethink her approach to life. She blamed herself for Carly’s death and actually still does to an extent. TO keep the guilt away she tries not to think about it that much but when it does come up it takes most of her self-control to keep from breaking. |
| Best Time: | The best time of Tyra’s life would have to be her senior year of High School and the summer after that. During her senior year, she concentrated on her studies but that didn’t keep her from having lots of fun with her friends and teammates. During her senior year her sports teams managed to win almost every tournament they were entered into. Her best friend managed to talk her into playing rugby, which had to be one of the best thing Roxanne had ever gotten her into. She spent her summer traveling around with her friends before most of them went off to the Academy in the fall. |
| Most Crucial Experience: |
The time after her sister’s death would have to be the most crucial event in Tyra’s life. It shaped how she looked at life after that but it also affected how she thought about herself also. She was much more determined in everything she did after that and she also seemed more aggressive in physical activities. She learned to live with the guilt. It also caused her to develop a phobia of failure. She thinks if she fails again it might get someone else killed. It caused her to concentrate more on what she was going to do with her life and to make sure she did everything well-for Carly. |
| Role Model: | Tyra’s role model is her High School coach, Laura Wilkerson. Coach Wilkerson was always there for Tyra especially during her depression after Carly’s death. She was also there for her when she hurt her knee during her junior year of basketball. Coach Wilkerson is considered to be one of the wisest people Tyra has ever met. She always seemed to have something good to say in every situation. Tyra still looks to Coach Wilkerson for guidance even though she no longer plays for her. |
