| Pets: | A Siamese/Himalayan cross-breed cat named Maxwell (or just Max) follows Aaron wherever he goes. Aaron does run into trouble sometimes as Max is very smart and arrogant. Max will often pass judgment on guests to Aaron’s quarters as to whether they are worthy enough to be in both Aaron’s and Max’s presence (this also happens to the women in Aaron’s life as well). |
| Best Friend: | Andrew Well. Through thick and thin, Andrew and Aaron have been the best of friends since grade one. Often, Andrew was the voice of rebellion in Aaron’s life, often getting Aaron into trouble. After the death of Arianna and Aaron’s subsequent arrival back to Earth, Andrew changed and became supportive of Aaron. Both challenged each other to become better and both became leaders. They often shared their insights, studied together, and fought each other intellectually throughout their High School careers. Andrew, the same age as Aaron, is seeking admission into a renowned engineering school, where he hopes to help create the next great starship for the Federation. |
| Personal History: |
Aaron Dayune grew up in North-Eastern Continental America (Eastern Canada)
with his parents and older sister Arianna in a suburb of Rendleton. As Aaron
went to school, the teachers found that he was going through many of the
classes at an exceptional pace. Not long after, at the suggestion of the
school counselor, Aaron was tested for his academic and intellectual
capabilities whereupon he rated excessively high for his age. After a curt
discussion with the counselor and teachers of Aaron, both his mother and
father decided to keep him in the regular school curriculum for
socialization and enculturation. It was not long into Grade 1, that Aaron meet his life long friend Andrew Well. It was during this time that both Andrew and Aaron tormented Arianna. While Andrew did it for pure malicious intent, Aaron pestered his sister because he looked up to her as a role-model and friend when Andrew wasn’t around. During this time Aaron continued to grow, often getting into trouble with Andrew. One particular incident between the two involved the trespassing of private property – a golf course – to climb the tallest tree in their, at the time, town. Subsequently, the two were caught by the local authorities after being ratted on by a passer-by whom they harassed with various obscenities. While Aaron was trying to climb down the tree, his shoe slipped and ended up falling. Thankfully, the many limbs of the great tree broke his fall, and his nose. The unconscious Aaron was brought to a hospital to have his nose re-broken and set. After the arrival of both his and Andrew’s parents, he was sternly scolded and punished: he was to be moved to a private school just outside of Rendleton. In a way, the punishment was for the best, as Aaron immediately began to excel in many of his school projects, but his drive and determination was fueled by his anger rather than pure ambition. At the same time, his sister Arianna graduated from Starfleet Academy and garnered her first posting on a starship. Further fueled by jealousy and envy Aaron made a deal with his mother and father, bartering grades for freedom from the private school. Aaron was allowed to choose any school he wished to attend after graduating his grade with honors, which he did with a private recommendation from the principal of the school. But Aaron learned that Andrew too had been moved to Ohio to live with his grandparents while his parents worked overseas. Taking the news badly, Aaron once again rebelled by hanging out with known ‘bad’ kids. One day, at the behest of several of his new friends, Aaron took his father’s vehicle from the garage for a ‘testspin’. The vehicle wasn’t found for several hours before a security unit found the vehicle wrapped around a tree with two of the occupants found flung from the wreck. Aaron sustained several injuries, though surprisingly none of them critical. It was fate, however, that three of his friends perished in the crash. Once Aaron was in physiotherapy, he was told of the outcome of the crash. The news struck him hard with guilt and he soon found himself taking the entirety of the incident upon himself. As he grew stronger, he attended funeral services or meet with the families of the deceased privately. Most of the families were angry and outraged, making the grief even more painful. Other families understood what had happened, and even told Aaron that it wasn’t his fault, that everyone succumbs to ‘peer pressure’ at least once in their lives. Aaron felt though, that he should have had more control. Even though the crash was investigated, there were no charges laid, as the investigators ruled the crash an accident. The news of the overt rebellious tactics of Aaron reached the ears of his sister Arianna. Despite trying to make a career for herself, Arianna thought that the discipline and control aboard a starship could help young Aaron. At this thought, Arianna offered Aaron a life aboard her Starship. At first, both Janet and Marcus (Aaron’s parents) thought the exchange a bad idea; what would happen if Aaron rebelled on the starship as well. But the choice was left up to Aaron who, with determination to rid himself of his past, accepted the offer. While aboard the starship, Aaron matured quickly, maintaining a healthy dose of academia and extra-curricular activities such as martial arts and sports, to keep him busy. However, it was the growth of Aaron’s relationship to his sister that was nurtured the most. Even with the demands of a bridge officer pulling at her uniform, Arianna still found time for her little brother. But the utopia aboard the starship and between the siblings was not to last. As fate would have it, an encounter with a hostile vessel left the ship effectively neutralized, allowing the hostiles to board the starship. With the death of the Captain, the First Officer, Arianna, quickly and valiantly gathered the crew and formed a resistance to the intruders. And with the ship far to dangerous to be found alone, Aaron accompanied his sister throughout the ship, through many minor engagements until a fortified position was created in the ship’s mess hall. The crew, with the fierce leadership defended the fortress against wave after wave of intruders until Arianna was grievously wounded. In an impulsive rage, maternal instincts fueling her emotion, Arianna struck out from the triage gaining much ground before one of the aliens, with a sword-like weapon, impaled Arianna. Aaron cried out and tried to leap out to save her, held back by some of the bridge officers that had sworn to watch over him. In the few moments, as Arianna fell, her gaze meet with Aaron’s, were he believes that part of her soul assimilated into his. Federation assistance arrived shortly after, saving the crew and Aaron from fate. With no sibling to stay with, Aaron was shipped back to Earth to be reunited with his family. With his previous outbursts, the Dayune family thought Aaron would act out in rage at the death of his sister. It was the exact opposite reaction that stunned the Dayune family. Aaron returned with a sense of purpose, leadership, valor, and above all the memory of his brave sister. It was Aaron who accepted the Star Fleet Medal of Honor on behalf of his sister, and even gave a eulogy at her private funeral service. The moment of hardship was softened by the return of Aaron’s old friend Andrew, who had changed most notably after hearing of the death of Arianna. Andrew attended the same schools as Aaron, challenging him around every corner, making Aaron earn his bragging rights. Even though the competition was often fierce between the two, they stayed great friends, putting aside the battles during family dinners and get-togethers. Life seemed to continue, with Aaron doing better than ever before in his school, taking many leadership positions and actively pursuing public functions to participate and speak at. He also joined sports teams, playing on both football and soccer teams while keeping his grades in the honors range. It was during this time that Aaron’s brother Jason fell violently ill with an unknown disease. With all of his commitments, Aaron still found time to care for his brother, a duty neither of his parents asked or expected him to do. It was not long before Jason died of his still unknown disease. At his funeral, Aaron openly wept for his brother, once again feeling powerless to help him. It was, however, where Aaron became interested in the field of Medical Genetics. Being only a student, Aaron quickly made himself an expert of his brother’s disease and quickly mapped the changes in Jason’s DNA structure that took place during his illness. While no cure was found, another life-altering event once again changed Aaron’s perception in life. The birth of his baby sister Briann changed Aaron completely, allowing him to see the natural cycle of the universe; from death comes birth. Aaron, reminded of his sister Arianna at the birth of a girl, threw himself into completing his schooling with honors: his sights set on Star Fleet. The summer after graduating, Aaron managed to receive an internship with the William Ross Strategic Initiative, named so after the famous Admiral of the past. He worked closely with several government organizations were he found interest in new topic of discussion: Vulcans and their logic as it pertained to command situations. After receiving leave from his internship, Aaron heavily researched the topic, even receiving a Federation grant to go to Vulcan to conduct interviews with non-Star Fleet command staff. Aaron’s paper, “Vulcan Logic in Command Scenarios” was hailed as a great achievement after it’s oration at the 45th Interracial Summit on Tactical Command and Strategic Movements The paper even gave Star Fleet a comparative model for the differences in style of Vulcan commander officers in the Federation as opposed to those of strictly Vulcan command. The success of the paper landed Aaron a second job as an intern to the Vulcan ambassador to the Federation. Aaron quickly jumped at the opportunity and also restarted his previous internship with the W.R.S.I (see above for non-abbreviated text). As if his time was not already stretched, Aaron also engaged in several romances, most notably with a young student of his mother’s at a nearby University. And, to top off his summer, Aaron revisited and old friendship with his friend Andrew, and lead the Sol Debate Team as lead debater during the Interplanetary Debate Finals on Earth with the assistance of his friend and team-member. |

Questions |
| Most Painful Experience: |
Perhaps
the most painful experience of Aaron’s life was the death of his sister
(explained later). However, the death of his younger brother who was
afflicted with a yet incurable and little known disease often sits in the
back of Aaron’s mind. Aaron often took care of his brother Jason after
school, missing out on extra-curricular activities when his brother was
particularly sick. Despite the fact that his parents were very supportive
and caring for Jason, Aaron felt it was his duty to protect and care for his
brother. Aaron’s helplessness in the death of his brother after succumbing to the disease often makes Aaron ruminate about what he could have done to save him, and lead Aaron to dabble in genetics for awhile. |
| Best Time: |
The
best time of Aaron’s life was the summer before joining the Academy. Aaron
worked hard on several project’s including being an internist for the
William Ross (http://www.federationspace-rpg.net/academy/story-08-wueste.html)
Strategic Initiative, the Lead Debater for the Sol Team during the
Interplanetary Debate Finals held on Earth, as well as a presenter at the
45th Interracial Summit on Tactical Command and Strategic Movements where he
orated his position paper of, “Vulcan Logic in Command Scenarios”; The
overwhelming acceptance of his paper lead to a second internship during the
summer for a Vulcan Ambassador. Not only was the summer gratifying intellectually, but once some of his goals were achieved, his confidence soared. Of course, as his confidence soared he became less introverted and subsequently started several romances; some linked to his internships. While none of the romances were serious, Aaron learned much from the romances and stayed on relatively friendly terms with all of the women he pursued. |
| Most Crucial Experience: |
When
Aaron was young, he spent a few years aboard a Federation starship with his
sister Arianna Dayune. Arianna, being intelligent and impulsive, quickly
moved up in rank until attaining the rank of First Officer. During a routine mission to deliver medical supplies for a warring planet suffering from an attack of biological origins, a hostile engagement occurred. A ship from the attacking planet engaged the Federation ship, damaging it severely. Soon after, a boarding party arrived and started to attack the crew of the Federation ship. Arianna valiantly lead the crew after the death of the Captain in defense of the ship. Unfortunately, minutes before the arrival of Federation assistance, Arianna was wounded in front of Aaron while defending a fortified triage; leading her into an impulsive rage. Aaron watched helplessly as Arianna continued to struggle with the intruders, taking more and more ground before she was killed in close combat with a sword-like weapon. Aaron believes that in the short moments as Arianna fell, and her gaze settled upon Aaron, that her soul somehow mingled with his. He also attributes many of his skills to the soul of his sister which he carries with him. |
| Role Model: | Aaron often looks up to his High School teacher, Dr. Julie Anders for his inspiration (and High School infatuation). During his short years studying under Dr. Anders, he found her to an extremely extroverted individual, commenting on anything she felt important despite that some of her ideas were not popular. While she was confident, she was steadfast, thinking before saying or doing so as not to offend anyone or get herself in trouble. As well, she had a sense of duty balancing it with a healthy does of ambition. Aaron often strives to be as well balanced as Dr. Anders, not allowing yin or yang to take the field all at once. |
