Parent's Status: Both parents are alive with Eileen living on the western coast of Ireland with family while Lorcán is still flying around working on various trade deals.
Pets: Riley, a six-year-old brown and white Ibezian hound of the wiry haired variety that Stiofán keeps with him.
Personal History: Stiofán was born in the North American city of Boston. His childhood was characterized by a constantly moving home filled with unique things, as his father is a merchant. His family kept small places in Boston, New Orleans, Mexico City, London, St. Petersburg, Tokyo, and Bombay, as well as on the northern coast of Australia, western coast of Ireland, and island of Kauai. As a result of not having one place to call home, home became a very fluid concept for Stiofán.

His closest friends were always his younger brother and sister, the only two constants in his life with whom he was close. The three of them remain close, keeping up with each other’s lives, even while they’re scattered around the earth. Once the children were old enough to take care of themselves the parents became even more removed than they had been before, not taking the kids with them and allowing all three to choose their own place of main inhabitance. Stiofán chose the western coast of Ireland to be close to his uncle, aunt, and cousins who live in the area. Síofra, his younger sister, chose to live on Kauai. The youngest, Anraí, traveled between his two siblings, preferring to winter in Kauai and summer in Ireland.

As a result of living away from his parents, Stiofán became close to his uncle and picked up many of his interests and habits. They shared a love of their military history, as that branch of the family had a long-standing habit of joining the armed forces that could be traced back to before Ireland was part of a conglomerate of countries known as the British Empire. It was from his uncle that Stiofán gained the first piece of his collection of weapons of war, a rifle that their ancestor had died with at the beginning of the Irish Civil War in the early 1900’s.

Having a large family contributed to Stiofán’s ease with managing people, as he was one of the older cousins in the group. He acted much like his uncle’s proxy when his uncle was too busy dealing with the horses that he raised.

When Stiofán turned 20 he decided, against his father’s wishes, that he wanted to try to maintain the family history and followed one of his younger cousins into Starfleet Academy. He decided that, based on his innate protective nature and ability to manage and motivate people, he was going to become a security specialist.
